I've written on this before, I know, so this is just a short but
pertinent comment. I'm not a dealer but often a customer. Living
across the Pacific Ocean means many extra costs and freight is one of
them. Until recently USPS Media Mail meant that mailing costs could
be reasonable, but now that the US Post Office no longer permits Media
Mail for international postage, the costs of my interest have increased
considerably. And now I have been notified by AMICA that I must now pay
for air postage of the journals. To quote from the AMICA web site: "We
regret the U.S. Postal Service no longer offers surface post service."
I have many friends in the USA and take great pleasure in visiting at
least once a year. But keeping in contact seems to be getting harder.
Whatever happened to the "Global Village" concept?
