Hupfeld Auto Roll Tracker Operation on Re-roll
By Scott Hiler

-- non-subscriber, please reply to sender and MMDigest --

Thank you to Niels Berkers for the input to my question. My auto
tracker is not of the type Niels has spoken of. The roll is moved
side-to-side like most auto trackers do. The system Niels has
spoken of sounds fascinating, though!

It has been suggested that the vacuum supply for the tracker is not
ported on the cut-out side, as the stack is, and so suction continues
on the tracker while in re-roll. Another curious thing is that when
I move the Tempo lever to a slower tempo, such as 10 or so, the roll
actually speeds up. Any ideas on this? Once again thank you in
advance for any assistance.
