Rebuilding Farrand Bush & Lane Player
By Bill McKibbon

-- non-subscriber, please reply to sender and MMDigest --

I am in the process of rebuilding the Farrand Bush and Lane player
Serial No. 31355. I found an article written by Dan Harrett which
shows a picture of the two pneumatic mechanisms that were used.

"Bush & Lane also made an all-wooden version that is virtually
identical to the metal version. It also uses zephyr skin pouches.
To view a couple of pictures - click here."

I have the wooden pneumatics and am lost as to how to repouch them.
His article refers to zephyr skin pouching. I would appreciate some
help or direction as how to proceed as I have already recovered all
of the pneumatics and replumbed the tracker bar.

Since the pneumatics have to be split open and reglued after pouching,
I want to make sure that I am using the right method.

Thank you in advance for any direction.

Sincerely,
Bill McKibbon
