Entry in Radio Times for Radio 3 tomorrow, 26 Jan:
12.15 p.m. Rolls, Records and the Return of Myra Hess
When Myra Hess, who died in 1965, "returned" to the National Gallery
last November to reprise one of her famous wartime performances,
it was undeniably a concert with a difference -- Hess's playing eerily
re-created thanks to the wonder of the piano roll. Christopher Cook
tells the story of the multi-million pound player-piano industry with
the help of enthusiasts and performers.
