Russian Correspondent Seeks Music Box Help
By Vincent Morgan

I speak some Russian and am the pastor of a Russian-speaking Baptist
church. I can receive e-mails in Russian. Answering in Russian may
be a bit more difficult; however, I have gifted translators who may be
able to help.

There are probably no books on the subject in Russian -- very few music
boxes were produced in Russia. Those that were, usually had Swiss
movements.

The Russian word for music box is sharmanka, which includes music
boxes, crank organs, crank pianos, etc. It literally means "little
crank".
