Well, gang, here's an update.  I got the piano tuned, got a free
software update package from the folks at PianoDisc, figured out
how to hook up MIDI, downloaded a ton of music that I have been
touching up with GNMIDI, and am having a ball!

The Ampico mechanism was sold to a fine gentleman in Maine and
will live again.

My thanks to Spencer Chase, Terry Smythe, and the great folks at
PianoDisc tech support.  This old Fischer is as sweet and mellow
as can be and I'm as happy as a cub bear in a honey tree.
