Jean-Baptist Jacotel and His Organ
By Christian Greinacher

In MMD 071120 Colette Van Bodegom asked for references to the surname
Jacotel. Some years ago I posted in the MMD a question about the maker
of one of my French serinettes with the signature: HUSSON - JACOTEL /
Facteur d'Orgues et de Serinettes / A Chatenois / par Neufchateau /
departement des Vosges.

At that time Francoise Dussour answered with the information that the
serinette was made by Husson-Jacotel, a well known serinette and organ-
maker. Pierre Francis Husson married a daughter of Auguste Jacotel,
1790-1840.

This information might be of interest to Colette Van Bodegom.

Regards from Germany,
Christian Greinacher
