Advice on Casting a Metal Part

Small metal parts can be cast at home without the use of sophisticated
tools, using high-temperature silicone rubber or RTV (room temperature
vulcanizing) molds. It is quite easy to cast metal parts using low-
temperature alloys such as pewter and other low-melting-point (between
600-700 deg.) casting alloys.

For safety's sake, it is important to avoid low-temperature alloys con-
