It's done! Believe it or not, it sounds pretty good.
A couple of thoughts: the electronic player systems that are available
today have led to a resurgence in piano sales. This has enabled many
non-players to have a piano in their homes that is more than an orna-
ment.
This is as it was a hundred years ago. Because of systems available
today people have an avenue of enjoyment that some of us, our parents,
and many more of our grandparents enjoyed.
Some people have a Snob Grand with a Duo-Art, Ampico, or Welte tuned to
the nines. To them anything less is a toy. I applaud them and their
machines. However, I believe that many of us enjoy our Brand X player
playing "Danny Boy" as much as they enjoy their Rachmaninoff. There's
room for everyone in the hobby!
I see very few posts that pertain to modern systems. I think we should
encourage the electronically driven player community to participate in
our discussions. We old timers might learn something, and in turn,
they are sure to gain an appreciation of our historic instruments and
their inner workings.
