Mills Violano With Cracked Harp Plate
By Howard Wyman

Brad Hunter asked about repairing a broken piano plate in a Mills
Violano. If he can find a copy of the book, "The Mills Violano-
Virtuoso, the famous self-laying violin and piano, how it works, how to
service and rebuild it," by Mike Kitner and Art Reblitz, it contains
the procedure for repairing a broken plate by bolting a bar across the
back and then routing a groove in the wood behind it to accommodate the
bar.

If Brad is a member of MBSI, the book can be borrowed from their
library.
