Ampico A System Removed From Grand Piano
By Rodney Diehl

Thanks to Andy Taylor for not tearing me up over my removal of the
action from my Ampico-A [see the 071106 MMD], and to Terry Smythe for
pictures of his installation (which really helped me with the sustain
mechanism), and to Spencer Chase for his advice and information.

The installation was a piece of cake. The Ampico mechanism is awaiting
its next owner, hopefully one who will give it the love and appreci-
ation that it deserves.

Incidentally, I have also installed blower boxes in players and even in
one pump organ. The owners didn't think I was a bad guy, and Durrell
Armstrong appreciated the business.

Keep em playing,
Rodney (The Destroyer) Diehl
