There was a posting in MMDigest 070913 for used piano rolls for sale in
California. I visited the site and ordered and paid for a batch of
rolls. Within a couple of days I found more rolls on the site and put
in an additional order, but never received a confirmation or price on
the second order, nor have I received the original order after two
months. The web site continues to be updated, so someone must be
around.
After waiting a month, I sent email inquiries weekly for three weeks,
but received no response. I thought that maybe my email address was
being blocked by some overactive spam control; so I sent another
inquiry by snail mail a week ago, but still no response.
Is it just me or are others experiencing the same problem with this
supplier? I am deliberately not naming names; any others similarly
affected will know whom I am referring to. I don't want to trash a
fellow MMDer, as I prefer to think that there must be a legitimate
reason for this situation. All indications are that this individual is
an upstanding member of the mechanical music community. But I am at a
loss to explain this breakdown in communication.
If you have any information regarding my situation, please write me
off-list (leartom@aol.com.geentroep; deleting .geentroep).
