Hi Group, In preparation for hosting the November meeting of the
MBSI Southern California Chapter I have been going over my instruments.
The Broadmoore PowerRoll has been getting sicker and sicker for some
time. It is now skipping blocks of music as it plays. Does anyone
know if Larry Broadmoore is in a position to service them anymore?
Does anyone have current contact information for Larry? Does anyone
else have the knowledge and parts to service PowerRolls?
I had thought that I would put the Pianocorder Vorsetzer on the
Marshall & Wendell piano instead of the PowerRoll. When I tried it
out, however, it did not work and there was a faint smell of unhappy
electronics. It did not respond to the tape playing but after a while
two solenoids activated two notes and they stayed on.
Before his passing Carl Meyer checked the tape player and found it to
be in good shape. He then gave me directions for removing and shipping
to program board to him. He repaired it and I re-installed it. The
Pianocorder has worked fine for several years. Now that I would like
demonstrate it, it has failed. Did anyone take over Carl's Pianocorder
repair business? Does anyone else service Pianocorders?
