Converting Barrel Organ to Play Music Rolls
By Alan Erb

I converted a wonderful North Tonawanda barrel organ to play
Wurlitzer paper rolls with no modifications to the organ. I installed
a "mounting board" to the original barrel support, using a single #6
(small) screw at each end, and mounted all the Wurlitzer gear to this
added board. A split wooden pulley drives the roll frame, or could use
electric. The organ can be returned to its original configuration with
two barrels in less than an hour.
