I am hoping someone will be able to assist me. As many of you have
recently learned if viewing MMD, Tom Grace passed away. I am sure
he will be missed by many, especially those who knew Tom.
Tom approached me several years ago and asked if he could borrow the
wooden pipes from my Cottage Style 2 Welte Orchestrion. I was more
than happy to assist and loaned them to him. The current concern:
they are still located in Tom's residence/shop and I have attempted to
contact his parents with no luck.
According to Tom, each time I would call to see if he was through
with the pipes, he said he had them packed away where they were safe.
I found it difficult always to reach Tom and when I would he indicated
he would bring them back. Obviously this has not happened.
I am letting everyone know who reads these messages so that if by some
chance, I hope that is not the case, Tom inadvertently loaned them to
someone else, or know more about these pipes, please contact me.
I have already tried several attempts to make contact with Tom's
parents via an email address I was provided and have not heard back
still. I also sent a registered letter with a return receipt to Tom's
home address and just received it back as not being deliverable.
I would find it hard to believe that since his death is this recent,
someone, his parents, would not be monitoring the mail.
Please if you have any other information, a phone number of Tom's
parents, possibly names or phone numbers of anyone that worked with
Tom that has access I would appreciate your contacting me as soon as
possible. I cannot emphasize how extremely important this is.
I don't like thinking about having to completely replace the entire
wood section of pipes in the Welte when the originals are still in
existence and most likely still located at Tom's home/shop.
Thanks for any help or information it will be deeply received and
appreciated. I am extremely busy so it is best to email me at
