My wife and I today enjoyed the marvelous 2006 film, "Miss Potter",
about Beatrix Potter, creator of Peter Rabbit, etc. I recommend the
film, it is a delight. The funniest line is unspoken, but just read
by the audience -- part of the last commentary slide at the very end.
But the whole film is excellent, save for one thing. Miss Potter
(finely played with a beautiful English accent by Texan Renee
Zellweger) shows her fiancé-to-be a Symphonion, perhaps about 8",
possibly a knife-wind; I couldn't see the case that well. She says
that her father gave it to her on her sixth birthday. Beatrix Potter
was born in 1866!
Shame on them what oughta know better, whot? But I still enjoyed the
film. The usual disclaimers apply.
All the best to you all
