Hi all,
Everyone's taste in music is different; however many of us like the same
things. To paraphrase Will Rogers, "I never met a Duo-Art music roll
that I did not like." In other words, I like just about all of the
music. That makes it very difficult to pare several thousand tunes down
to a very few. But, here are a few of the ones I love:
67998 Alpine Storm, Op. 105, by Kunkel, played by Genevieve Pitot
6858-3 Man Lives But Once, by Strauss/Tausig, played by Frederic Lamond
510-4 Quartet in E-flat major, Op. 12, Canzonetta, by Mendelssohn-
Bartholdy, played by Harold Bauer
7237 Zigeunerweisen, Op. 20 (Gypsy Airs), by Sarasate, arranged and
played by George Enesco
6636-4 Benediction Of God In The Solitude, by Liszt, played by Siloti
6958 Widmung (Dedication), Op. 25, no.1, by Schumann, played by Wilhelm
Bachaus
69820 Pastorale (Hungarian Christmas Song), by Dohnanyi, played by
Yolanda Mero
64120 Il Trovatore, Selections, by Verdi, played by Erno Rapee
7282-3 Liebesbotschaft (Love's Message), by Schubert/Liszt, played by
Vladimir Horowitz
67468 Murillo (Allegro de concert), Op. 138, by Terschak, played by
Genevieve Pitot
6813 Variations, Op. 35, by Brahms/Paganini played by Wilhelm Bachaus
I especially love most of Dohnanyi and Moszkowski music. Well that is
only a drop in the bucket, and we want to see what others like.
Musically,

I guess I won't have the bumper crop I expected! But, maybe a mincemeat
pie will taste very good!)
