FS: Player Pianos & O-roll Orchestrion
By Bill Sharkey

Now that my wife and I are retired from our flower shop, we are
spending more time in our winter home in Florida and less time in our
home in Hicksville, Long Island, New York. I've decided that it's time
to close my part-time player piano rebuilding hobby and sell off what
I have. (Over the years I must have rebuilt about 50 Players that
would have otherwise gone to the dump). Right now, in my garage on
ground level, I have four upright player pianos that I'd like to sell
for a very reasonable price.

1. A 88-note Moore & Moore piano, made in London, with a 65-note
Simplex player action, about 1910, with a spring-driven roll motor that
you operate with your right leg as you sit and pump the piano, _very_
unusual. This player is in very good unrestored condition.

2. A 88-note Sohmer upright player, with electric motor, in pretty good
playing condition but not rebuilt.

3. A 88-note upright with a 88-note Simplex player action that has been
rebuilt this past year, but not finished. Actually, the rebuilding is
complete, I even put a full set of valves in the pneumatics, but it
needs final troubleshooting and adjusting.

4. A 88-note upright with a Standard player action in very good
unrestored condition.

All the cabinets are in very good condition. They are all from about
1910 to 1920. Anyway, a 5-minute phone call to me will get all your
questions answered. I'll also throw in some extra piano actions,
pneumatic stacks, parts, supplies, cloth, tubing etc. I would take
$1000.00 for the entire package and I'm only interested in selling
everything together.

I also have a _beautiful_ "O"-roll orchestrion that I am selling.
Instruments include snare drum, tambourine, triangle, a full set of
wood blocks, cymbal and of course the player piano. I'll play it
for you over the phone. It does need slight adjusting of the lock
and cancel for proper reroll operation. It has a 25-cent coin slot.
The stained glass top and bottom is in perfect condition. The piano
itself was manufactured by James & Holmstrom in New York, probably
about 1920. The walnut cabinet is in excellent condition. It comes
with seven of the 10-tune "O" rolls. I can also send a photo.
Price $5500.00. Call me!
