Today I circulated a personal message from Ralf Smolne that he wrote
in the hospital. I attach my English translation in order to inform
the MMD readers about his state and health.

Dear Friends, Many thanks for your sympathy concerning my personal
accident and for those many warm wishes for my recovery, which have
filled my mailbox. After all I had a whole lot of luck during my
accident, which might have turned out worse. The broken ribs are going
to heal by and by, the broken wrist is trained for mobility, but the
complicated fracture of my jaw will require some lengthy therapy.
I guess that I have to stay in hospital for another ten days and hope
to be dismissed after that period. I am looking forward to be able
to work on my PC, including authoring new and responding to received
e-mails, and to manage our society without too many restrictions due
to health and mobility problems.
Meanwhile, Walter Tenten is taking care of all important actions
including necessary correspondence and decisions in collaboration with
the other [GSM] board members.
I hope to be active again very soon.
Cordially
Ralf Smolne
