Hi all, I too have been reading the thread and the way you have to
handle it is to scam the scammer. I haven't heard back from them yet,
but I sent an email requesting a physical mailing address so I can
send them a money order for 4 grand or something like that. I told
them that I wanted to order 50 DVDs and that I owned a video store
and wanted to stock the DVDs. So far I haven't heard back from them,
but since they are scamming the public I don't think they are going
to refuse about 4 grand of easy money.
I said in my email that I don't have a PayPal account and that I will
need a physical address, not a post office box, to send the money
order to. Let's see if they bite. If they do, then I will post their
address to everyone here and then everyone can send the police to them.
I also somewhat hacked their web site and saw a few other companies
that they are using to post their orders besides PayPal. I have
contacted that other site and reported to them on the dealings that
are going on. They said they would look into it. I am trying to help
everyone out. :-)
I can tell you this: if PayPal gets enough complaints they will suspend
that account and shut it down. But it doesn't stop the scammers, they
can open up another account in a matter of minutes. All you really
need is a new email account, a new bank account number and someone
else's Social Security Number; that's it... I personally will not
use PayPal anymore. They have screwed me too much.
Good luck, everyone, with getting your money back.
Sincerely, Jeff Bridges
