I have a Stella disc music box with a patent date of Sept 22, 1885.
It is in fair condition but two teeth are broken. It is in a wooden
box (19" x 17" x 11") that has its original finish. It also has two
small plaques, one says Mackie Music Co., Rochester, New York, the
other says Jacot & Sons, 39 Union Square, New York. There is a brass
plate with several dates with numbers after the dates. I have 12 discs
and it works but I notice there are two teeth broken.
I would like to know if there is a restoration company in my vicinity
(Boca Raton, Florida) as I would like to have it cleaned and repaired.
I would also be interested in an approximate value.
Thank you for any information you can provide.
