Sheet Music to MIDI Conversion
By Ed Schmidt

Kevin McElhone asked if there was a computer program to scan sheet
music and create a MIDI file. I am aware of two programs that will do
this task. The first is by Musitek called Smart Score, MIDI addition.
I have an early version of their software called MIDIscan which I have
used occasionally, but have not upgraded to there latest product. The
program works, but it is expensive.

Another product called Photoscore is also available, but I don't know
how well it works. I am sure that there are a number of other programs,
and possible free ones on the Internet.
