American Fotoplayer Blower Installation
By Jerry F. Bacon

Hello to all, I did have a model 20 Fotoplayer which has one
cabinet only but has a blower which outputs pressure and vacuum.
The blower runs at 3500 rpm and was quite noisy.

The blowing plant needs to be 20 feet away from the piano and the
wind line needs to have two right angle bends in it so that the
tremulant will work properly. I used PVC wind line for all runs
and it was quite satisfactory.

I had my blower plant in a bedroom closet and the wind line went up
in the attic and then down the bathroom wall then into the lounge
(living room) wall behind the pipe cabinet then into the main chest.
The vacuum line went through the closet wall into the hollow edge of
the bathtub straight into the piano.

With the bedroom door closed and the sound going through the hall it
was quite quiet.

Cheers,
