If you go to the AMICA web site at www.amica.org you'll notice I've
switched to presenting live recorded music of instruments, rather
than just a MIDI file plinking in the background. I change the music
on the site every 30-60 days.
If you have reasonably good quality recordings of your automatic
instrument, I would be interested in receiving it (and a scan of the
roll/box label) for inclusion on the front-page music in the months
to come. I'm looking for music that's reasonably melodious, e.g.,
most reproducing roll fox-trots, etc. Nothing off-center or bombastic
that would put off the garden variety visitor. Of course, this is
a subjective restriction, but those of you who've purchased my piano
rolls from New England Music Rolls have a feel for what I mean. No
guarantees if it happens to fall outside my measure or is too low of
quality.
Please let me know if you have a contribution before actually sending
it.
