Wurlitzer 105 Band Organ Sold on eBay
By Matthew Caulfield

I have always thought that there is something unethical about the
sniping software created to defeat other bidders in online auctions
such as eBay. I have heard that at least one auction service tries
to defeat snipers by extending any auction for a few minutes if there
are bids in the last minute of the auction.

But I suppose eBay doesn't do that in order to put pressure on bidders
to bid their maximum bid right at the start. Probably smart tactics
all around. The marketplace is dog-eat-dog.

Woof!
