As much as I, too, like House on the Rock, they are not exactly cash
poor. I have no doubt that they have far more than enough income
to properly conserve the instruments they have. It pains me to see
those rare instruments grinding themselves into junk for lack of proper
maintenance. Any reputable museum rotates its mechanical exhibits
and schedules overhaul and repair for all their displays that operate
continually. And, many of those museums have far less staff and income
to do it with than House on the Rock.
