Coin Piano Doesn't Stop After Each Tune
By Don Teach
Wurlitzer I models were made for a long time and unfortunately differ
from year to year or era to era. There are several different types of
stacks and at least four types of coin counters used in them.
The Model I, if has the unit valve stack, then one of the stack valves
will work the coin shut off if it plays the standard ten-tune roll.
The models with the roll changer used a stack pneumatic valve at the
end of each tune but not when rewinding the whole roll as a pneumatic
worked or driven by the roll changer then supplies the vacuum to the
accumulator.
The accumulator needs to be clean and freely working for a pneumatic
to work the mechanism. I would check the valve and make sure it is
working. I wish I had time to write more.
