There are some compact "cables with goiters" that do USB-to-MIDI
conversion, at around $35 apiece. Also, if your laptop PC is old
enough, it should have a traditional DB15 joystick connector [15 pin],
to which a traditional "fat cable" joystick-to-MIDI converter can be
added. (These are maybe $25 apiece.)
The latter adapter is less bulky than the USB version, so older laptops
have the edge here.
