Scanning & Digitizing Original Literature
By Craig Williams

I have been using ABBYY Fine Reader for quite awhile. Terry Smythe is
correct in saying that good originals can be decoded almost perfectly.
I have even used it to build roll lists from roll labels. The roll
boxes are simply placed label end down on the scanner to make an image
of multiple labels. ABBYY can make me a text file that, with more or
less work, becomes the roll title list.
