The Hammered Dulcimer or "Desk Piano"
By D. L. Bullock

Some time ago there was some discussion of hammered dulcimer or
"desk piano". Here is a video of one being played. The strings are
tuned from both sides of the instrument. The strings alternate tuning
pin left with bridge right, then tuning pin right with bridge left,
and down the line like that. A fascinating instrument to look at and
listen to.
