Favorite Song Titles
By Matthew Caulfield

Tom Sendall mentions a couple of his favorite tune titles from the
old days. There really were some winners back then.

How about
"Hey! You Want Any Codfish, We Only Got Mack'rel Today"?
The copyright information for this 1923 foxtrot is just as odd:
"words: Ima Fish; music: Ura Herring."

I'm not making that up; taken straight from U.S. Copyright Office
records!

The 1930 foxtrot, "The King's Horses And The King's Men," by Gay &
Graham, is on Wurlitzer roll 6661, in addition to the piano rolls Tom
mentions, and is a really nifty arrangement. I can send Tom a
recording, if he wants it.
