Hi, Many years ago I had through my hands a small interchangeable
musical box by Paillard with cylinders that were about 11" length.
It came with a Paillard advert leaflet listing the tunes that could
be supplied, 'kept in stock in London' on one side, and 'not kept in
stock in London' on the other. Unfortunately I did not make a note of
the exact size of the cylinders, but I did keep a copy of the leaflet.
It describes the box as Style 801.
In the hope that these are what Joe Villani needs, I offer the following:
Cylinder 11
Athalie - march (War March of the Priests is its other name)
La Priere d'une Vierge
Louis XIII, gavotte
La dernier pensee de Weber
Mozart's Requiem
La clochette du patre
Cylinder 55
The girl I left behind me
The white cockade
Climbing up the golden stairs
Emmett's lullaby
White wings
Pretty little darling, I love you
Cylinder 76
Norma, Casta diva
Tannhauser, o du mein holder
Rigoletto, cavatine
Don Giovanni, minuetto
La Traviata, romance
Der Feldprediger, march
Cylinder 110 is not listed. The first two were kept in stock in London,
the last was not.
I hope that (a) this is the right information -- playing the cylinders
should give clues as to whether it is likely to be right, and (b), it
was helpful!
