FS: Player Pianos & Orchestrion in New York
By Bill Sharkey

I rebuild only player pianos mainly as a hobby. Now that my wife
and I are retired from our flower shop and we are spending more time
in Florida and less time in Hicksville, Long Island, New York, I've
decided that it's time to close shop on my hobby gone wild.

I guess over the years I've turned out perhaps 50 players that would
otherwise have gone to the dump. Right now, in my garage on ground
level, I have four player pianos:

1. Moore & Moore made in London, with a 65-note Simplex player action,
about 1910, with a spring-driven roll motor that you operate with your
right leg as you sit and pump the piano, in very good unrestored
condition.

2. A 88-note Sohmer upright player, with motor, playing pretty good,
but not rebuilt.

3. A 88-note upright with a Simplex player action that I rebuilt this
past summer but didn't finish. The rebuilding is finished (I even put
in a full set of Simplex pneumatic valves) but it needs final adjusting
and trouble shooting.

4. A 88-note upright with a Standard player action in un-rebuilt
condition.

Anyway, a 5-minute phone call to me will get you all the details.
I'll also throw in some supplies, cloth, tubing, parts, etc., worth at
least several hundred dollars. I would take $1000.00 for everything.
(Sorry, I can't deliver for that price!) Being sold as a complete
package only. Give me a call -- we are in and out (mostly in) but
I have an answering machine and if I miss you I'll call you back.

I should also mention that we have an orchestrion we are also selling
(and upright piano, leaded stained glass top and bottom, triangle, full
set of wood blocks, bass and snare drums and symbol). I have a little
trouble with the "Lock & Cancel" on the reroll but otherwise it sounds
great. With several "O" rolls: $5500.00.

Looking forward
