Peterson Bottle Organ
By Donald Landstrom

The November, 2006, issue of Keyboard Magazine has a fun and
interesting article about a MIDI compatible organ that, instead of
using pipes, creates sound by blowing streams of air over vodka bottles
containing various amounts of liquid (glycerin). Vodka was not used
for obvious reasons, although someone had to help in emptying the
bottles! Check out http://www.petersontuners.com/news/bbo/index.cfm

You can see the instrument in action at http://www.keyboardmag.tv/
(Scan through the channels and pick NAMM, then click on the listing for
Peterson bottle organ.) This unit is very well constructed and seemed
to provide a lot of interest where it was displayed.
