Unusual 1919 Aeolian-Weber Themodist Upright
By John A. Tuttle
Hi All, For a look at a truly interesting Aeolian-Weber Themodist,
go to http://www.player-care.com/1919-weber.html
There is much that I would like to learn about this player piano:
- What's the type of wood?
- Does the cabinet style have a name?
- Is it a one-of-a-kind? Perhaps custom built for someone rich or famous?
- Any guess as to what such a piece might be worth to a collector?
- Any ideas as to how the Accent control works?
- Any ideas as to what one lever that's not connected to anything might be?
(The piano is 3000 miles away so I can't 'play' with it, but the owner
is mechanically inclined so we'll probably figure out how things are
suppose to work eventually...) Appreciate all input; more pictures are
on the way and will be posted on the same page.
Musically,
John A Tuttle
