Hi All,  Thinking about buying some QRS music rolls?  You better read
this and act now!

Things are sure changing at QRS these days.  Yesterday I received
a listing of music rolls that will no longer be available when the
new QRS roll catalog gets released.  The listing is much too long to
include in this posting, but I have scanned the pages and posted them
at Player-Care (see link below).  In total, 435 titles are in the list,
and they include many standards like "Second Hand Rose" (marimba),
"Who Takes Care of the Caretaker's Daughter While the Caretaker's
Taking Care?", "Poor Butterfly", "Valencia", and many, many more.

But it doesn't stop there!  Another 860+ titles are being phased out.
What that means is that the rolls are still available now, but they
will not be re-cut when the existing stock runs out.  The listing of

Also (and perhaps this is the most important news of all) it's now
official that QRS roll prices are going up by over 25% on November 1,
2006, and dealer discounts are going down.  Quoting from the official
letter I received, "On November 1, 2006, all other Regular Rolls will
increase in price from $11.00 to $14.00.  Price Code A, B, and C rolls
will increase in price from $17.00 to $21.00.  At the same time, the
dealer discount on rolls will be pegged at 35% off all roll prices,
old and new.  Rising prices in every aspect of our operations have made
these changes necessary."

At Player-Care, I am vowing to continue offering a 15% discount on all
QRS music rolls for as long as possible.  I'll also be spending about
the next month editing all of the roll listings at the web site...
