My 31er Raffin Organ Arrangements as MIDI Files
By Mike Knudsen

I have posted about 20 of my own 31er Raffin scale arrangements
of (mostly) my own compositions (mostly rags and marches) as MIDI
files, freely downloadable from my web site. They're accessed from
a "private" page that is not reachable from my normal home page.
The link is http://hometown.aol.com/knudsenmj/myhomepage/Organs.htm
(Note: no small "L" after ".htm") (A few other arrangements are
available by private request via email.)

These MIDI files are "registered" under General MIDI for good listening
to emulate the sound of a 31-note organ, and can be transferred directly
to such an instrument. I built a MIDI interface into my Raffin 31/84
so I can play these tunes without punching a roll, though many of the
tunes have in fact been punched.

Since there was quite a discussion a few months ago about fitting tunes
into a 20er scale, I won't talk further about the challenges of
cramming them into 31 notes (5 bass notes, 10 accomp., and 16 melody).

Please let me know what you think of my work.

Mike Knudsen
