In the 60's and 70's, I worked as the service tech for a music store
that sold Gulbransen, Thomas, and Kimball organs. The Gulbransen at
that time used a cassette player, not rolls. Or was it the Thomas?
(Getting old.)
The Kimball players used rolls punched by QRS for the Kimball player
organ that ran on a standard tracker bar. But the rolls were arranged
for organ, not piano. They will of course work in a player piano, but
sound funny. I have a Kimball player with quite a few rolls. The
rolls have become very scarce lately.
I am not familiar with any player on the Hammond or Wurlitzer.
Here is the Kimball tracker bar layout: holes number 16 to 28 are
pedal, 29 to 44 are accompaniment, and 45 to 76 are solo. Compare this
with your player organ to see if the Kimball rolls will work on your
instrument.
