Cleaning Zinc Discs
By Kevin McElhone

Does anyone have any ideas about cleaning white oxide and other deposits
from ZINC organette or musical box discs?

I can obviously sand them with wet & dry fine emery paper if
projectionless discs, but what do I do for discs with projections?

Is there something the discs can be sprayed with or dipped in
to soften the deposits so they can be scrapped off or will this
soften the discs to the point of their being of no use?

Thanks for any suggestions,
Kevin McElhone, MBSGB Membership Secretary
