Key Pneumatics and Pearl Hide Glue
By Joel Gauthier

As Archivist for the Musical Box Society of Great Britain, I have
received a query from a member who has a PVF cylinder musical box with a
damaged lid. He is seeking a photograph of the design to help with
restoration. The marquetry design depicts a bird with medium-sized
beak, head comb (like a cockerel) and medium-sized tail. It stands on a
branch, but most of the tree, or whatever, is missing.

If you e-mail me (john@musicanic.com.geentroep [delete .geentroep]), I
will send you a photo of the lid. I have not yet found a similar design
in the Archives.
