Band Organ Facade Carver
By Bob Yorburg

Mathew -- I would be happy to carve the facades. I built the
organ for the Big Apple Circus and numerous other organs. The circus
organ was carved to represent a smaller version of their band stand.
AMICA recently had their fall meeting at our place and many members
saw a variety of the carvings that I create and my wife paints. I am
attaching pictures of amusement carvings and organ facades. I realize
that MMD will not be able to display them, but I will be happy to
forward pictures to those who are interested.

I noticed that you may want several copies of these facades or
components. I own a large carving machine that is capable of
duplicating the original pieces as well as making mirror image right
and left pieces from one original. My carousel horse carvings have
been molded and replicated by one of the large carousel manufacturing
firms. As such, we have the capability of making molds of any of the
pieces to produce exact copies.

As noted in a previous MMD posting, I also teach acanthus carving
and host numerous painting and carving classes throughout the year.
