A year ago, through this list, I sold the piano portion of a Link
MpJr photoplayer and an early Engelhardt coin piano to Don Neilson.
The pianos were stored in Tacoma and were part of a 30-piano cache
I sold to a collector there 30 years ago. That collector had just
stored them in a warehouse ever since, and he kindly allowed me to
re-ell these two after we talked and I told him about the neck
injuries I had recently sustained in a rear end collision, after
being hit by a (probable) cell-phone talker. (Nice guy!)
When John Wrasse arrived at the warehouse to pick up the pianos,
people were in there removing parts, and the Link, which _had_ been
in excellent, complete condition, was now "gutted"! (I took it out
of a vaudeville theater in 1968, so I know it was complete.)
If you know of someone in the Tacoma area who has, or might have, these
parts, please help me get them back to Don Neilson, their proper owner.
The Engelhardt coin piano was also, I believe, "scavenged", although
when I bought it in 1975, it was already missing the "upstairs" stuff.
(Everything "downstairs" and the coin chute were still in it.)
I'm hoping this is just a case of simple misunderstanding. But Don
paid for the parts, and they should be his. If you know of their
whereabouts, please let me know, and inform the people who have them
that no legal action will be pursued, as long as the parts are
relinquished, voluntarily.
Thanks!
