I was recently given an "Aeolian" wristwatch, purchased on eBay from
a dealer in the U.S. It is of a very stylish art deco design, clearly
of the early 1930's, and has the Aeolian name in a convincingly authentic
font on the face. There is no other writing on it, and the dealer can
shed no further light on its provenance.
Does anyone know of any other similar watches? Can this be an example
of the Aeolian Co. attempting to diversify during the difficult times
of the early 1930's, or is it, after all, unrelated? I would love to
know.
Best wishes,
