I usually have several Orchestrelles I am selling for friends and
customers but I usually tell them it will take several months to find
a buyer and make arrangements to ship. This is not usually a problem
as most people are in no rush.
I have just been asked to sell a Model "V" Orchestrelle, the smallest
pressure Aeolian organ, as soon as possible. I have been trying to
find a buyer for several months. It was restored by the current owner
some years ago and it works quite well, _but_ it is located upstairs
on the first floor and will need to be dismantled to remove it. The
current owner is prepared to offer some help as below; the organ is
located in Kings Langley, just off the M25 northwest of London.
The owner will dismantle the organ to whatever extent we decide with
the purchaser present if he/she so wishes and pack it up ready for
collection. He will assist with loading onto purchaser's transport.
He will provide pictures and notes to assist reassembly. If purchaser
is in the UK he might be able, subject to time available, to be present
(part or full time) and assist with re-assembly. If I have to travel
by my car to the buyer's location I will charge 25p per mile. If I
have to stay overnight at a conveniently near motel or hotel I will
charge £60 per night, but I will stay at less expensive accommodation
(e.g., B&B) if the buyer makes the arrangement and pays me the amount
of the bill.
I am only the agent for the sale but should be contacted in the first
instance. Price is £2,000 including about 250 rolls.
