In response to Terry Smythe's posting of 8/17 ("Ampico Monthly
Bulletins Available On-line ") regarding his scanning of Ampico (and
other) Monthly Bulletins, I think it is great that he is undertaking
the task and am of the opinion that he should continue with the
scanning in the same manner as he is presently doing.  More specifically,
he should continue to make high resolution scans, and put those in PDF
format.

I don't know why he should undertake the OCR function at this time;
we have the Obenchain catalogs (and the like), and the files he is
creating are easily readable.

Finally, I would say that the form and appearance of these catalogs (as
captured so well by Terry, in color no less) is exceedingly interesting
and important -- thus the beauty of what Terry is doing right now.
