Wurlitzer Console Piano with Pneumatic Reproducer
By Mike Walter

Hi All, Back in 1972 a friend of mine was working in a music shop
in Ohio. One day a brand new Wurlitzer console piano with a pneumatic
player system was brought into the shop. It had been purchased by a
customer and was in the shop for tuning and/or other work.

The curious thing was that it had a collection of Ampico rolls included
and they reproduced very well on the piano. The piano was delivered to
the customer, and after it had left the shop no one wanted to talk
about the piano, much less acknowledge that it had ever existed.

Does anyone know any more about this elusive piano? Thanks very much.

Mike Walter
