Seek Music for Wilhelm Bruder 41 Keyless Organ
By Jonathan Holmes
I have just purchase an unrestored 41-keyless Wilhelm Bruder organ
that is untouched and has not been touched, apart from a few running
repairs, since it was built. It has spent its working life in Germany.
The organ will need a full restoration and I intend to keep the
original scale as I know a number of this model of organ have been
converted to scales where music is easily available.
The organ came with one hopper of original music but I need to add to
this and also I need a tuning/scale book. The keyless keyframe is, in
fact, a 46 keyless keyframe and it is original. They possibly used one
in stock from one of their larger organs?
I would like to acquire a number of new books from different arrangers
but I am told that Wilhelm Bruder music spacing is slightly different
to the norm and I know at least one major British supplier can not
help.
I would love to source music from someone who has access to any original
Bruder or German masters or music. But any recommendations of who to
contact as music cutters or arrangers would be gratefully received. It
would be nice to have a few books to play once it again sounds forth
