FS: New Recut Mills Violano Rolls
By Dick Hack

This is an update on the Violano rolls ordered recently.

Play-Rite has finished up all the rolls on my last list, including the
blues rolls, and shipping should be next week. All rolls that have
been purchased and paid for will automatically be shipped. Rolls that
have not been paid for will be held for 10 days and will be shipped as
soon as payment is received.

Interest has been especially good on the blues roll #2680, Mexican roll
#2917, and the classical roll #2550, and they have all been sold out.
However, we will be re-running these three rolls for those that missed
out and would like to order them. We also have a few of some of the
other rolls still available. Although we will be continuing to make
other Violano rolls in the future, these rolls will probably not be
rerun again.

Following is a list of rolls that are available now, and also the three
sold-out rolls that will be rerun and can be ordered now:

2550 - Hand Played Classical Roll: Medley of Old Favorites (My Old
Kentucky Home, The Mocking Bird, Wearin' of the Green, Turkey in the
Straw, Comin' Thru the Rye, old Irish Washerwoman, Annie Laurie,
Dixie), Sometime (Friml), Somewhere a Voice is Calling, Every Little
Movement (from Madame Sherry). This is a very good classical roll that
had never been recut before. Sold out, but we will be doing one more
cutting of this roll.

2680 - Hand Played Red Hot Blues Roll: Wabash Blues, Some of These
Days, St. Louis Blues, I Ain't Got Nobody Much, Memphis Blues. This
is the famous blues roll Don Teach lent for recutting. It is one of
the best blues rolls ever done for the Violano! It is sold out now,
but we will be doing another cutting of this roll, so a few more will
be available.

2917 - Mexican Roll: General Almazan, Amalia, Echamela Pa'ca, Lupe
Velez, Cachetitos Rojos. All great tunes. Another roll that had not
been recut before, and we will be recutting it one more time.

2114 - Christmas Roll: Adeste Fidelis, Oh Thou Joyful Day, Silent
Night (Holy Night), O Tannenbaum, Christmas Song (O Holy Night). There
are violin solos in various parts of this roll. Arrangements are just
wonderful! There are a few left.

2379 - La Traviata in 5 parts: Verdi. One of my favorite classical rolls.

2444 - Roll of Medleys: Songs of the Past (Hail Hail the Gang's All
Here, Good Old Summertime, Sidewalks of NY, etc.), Light Opera Medley
(My Hero, Kiss Me Again, Beautiful Lady), Songs of Yesterday (Auld Lang
Syne, Sweet Adeline, In the Shade of the Old Apple Tree, etc.), Medley
of Reels (Chicken Reel, Arkansas Traveler, etc.). One of my best
sellers over the years.

2457 - Ten Piece Dance Roll: Alabamy Bound, Swanee Butterfly, By the
Light of the Stars, Midnight Waltz, Moonlight and Roses, On the Way to
Monterey, Off and Gone, Away from You, Titina, and Oh Katharina. This
is a great roll for museums and tours; the ten tunes are about half as
long as on other rolls. I have one more available.

2540 - International Roll: Stars and Stripes Forever, O Solo Mio, Blue
Danube Waltz, Toreador Song (Carmen), Song of the Boatman of the Volga.
This is a fabulous variety roll and another roll that has been in
demand. I have several left to sell.

2476 - Hand Played Violin Solos: La Capricieuse (Elgar), Mazurka de
Concert, Andantino, Mendelssohn's Capricietto, Elfentanz. This roll
had never been recut before.

3021 - Dinner Hour Music: Black Eyes, Tango in D, Me Queres, Two
Guitars, La Rosita. Another roll that has been in consistent demand by
those that hear it. The original of this roll has been in the owners
Violano for years as his best demonstration roll.

Rolls are still $100 each; shipping is $12 for one roll plus $6 for
each additional roll shipped at the same time. Please email or call
me if you have any questions. Thank you.

Sincerely,
