The Elepian pianos were sold in the early 1990s until they stopped
production. They have one main problem: the pneumatics fall off --
usually poor glue. The pneumatics were wood so no problem except
removing all the old glue from both surfaces.
Everything is just like a normal player except the source of the sound.
The keys move and everything and they are fun for a light movable
player piano that does not take a truck and two bruisers to move.

[ My remarks, and the references (links) that I added in yesterday's
[ 060712 MMDigest, relate to only the Elepian electric piano, not the
[ Elepian player piano that John Tuttle asks about. The maker of the
[ roll-playing mechanism is not yet known. I regret any confusion
[ that may have resulted. -- Robbie
