Rubber Bands Around Music Rolls
By Eliyahu Shahar

Just a quick note: I have bought many rolls for instruments that
are not yet playing -- including new recuts of Orchestrelle rolls from
Ed Gaida (Excellent! Thanks, Ed!) and many new rolls from Artcraft
(Duo-Art). Often they come with a rubber band.

In a matter of a couple of months I've seen the rubber bands deteriorate
and leave a mark on a music roll. Over a period of years they could
easily mess the beginning of the roll up fairly bad. Get rid of the
rubber bands!

Warm regards from Israel where I'm currently connecting the tubing on
my newly restored Weber Duo-Art.

Eliyahu Shahar
